Platform to Employment Graduation

In January and February, P2E launched a new round of statewide classes to help the long-term unemployed get back to work. Over 80 individuals began the five week preparatory course. In a few weeks, participants will be paired with local employers for a trial work experience, paid for by P2E. The trial work experience allows the individual to regain confidence and prove they can do the job, while providing a risk free opportunity to evaluate the candidate before making an offer of employment.

We welcome all members of the Connecticut General Assembly to the statewide graduation ceremony on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 10am-12pm at the State Capitol Building in the Old Judiciary Room. Your presence and words of encouragement will mean a lot to participants, who often feel that they are the invisible and forgotten casualties of the Great Recession.
