The YouthBuild program is designed to help local youth learn job skills and serve the community by building affordable housing. For unemployed young people who left high school without a diploma, YouthBuild is an opportunity to reclaim their education, gain skills needed for employment, and become leaders in their communities.
YouthBuild Bridgeport includes assistance to pursue a GED, construction skills and industry recognized certifications. Employment and post-secondary placement assistance are also available with follow up supports provided to graduates for one year following program completion. The program offers transportation assistance, a small stipend to earn-as-you-learn, and a fully loaded iPad to use and keep, along with construction tools upon completion.
Graduation is an invitation-only event. For more information, contact Sarah at 203-610-8496.
